Everybody has asked this question at least one time in their life. It’s a wonderful question, too! What is this life for? How do we answer such a question when it’s asked? Find the 5 steps below on how you can answer the question of what’s this life is for!
Life is such an amazing thing that we all take for granted. It’s impossible to know when you’re going to die. So, in the meantime, we have to live with the choices we have made, and sometimes those choices make us question what this life we live is all about. When we start questioning life and everything around us, we’ll soon find the answer. The answer we may or may not have wanted to hear. Here are 5 steps or questions to ask yourself in order to answer the one question we all want an answer for, what’s this life for?
1. What do I want to do for the rest of my life?
Think about what it is you want to do (work or otherwise) for the rest of your life. Once you’ve thought about it, you can begin making the appropriate changes in your life in order to move in the direction that will accomplish your life goal. If it’s work related, you do not have to quit your job today, just make the decision to find the job of your dreams. Quitting your job without another will just make things worse in your life. Don’t!
2. What are the most important things in my life?
Here is where you define the most important things to you in your life, this could be family or friends or just pretty much whatever you choose. Make sure it fits in with the life goal you just set. If not, be sure it doesn’t interfere with your life goal or it could mean trouble for you later on in your life. Such as, if you chose to have your family as the most important, then taking a job that will keep you away from them, would just drive you crazy!
3. Is what I’m doing now moving me in the direction I want to go?
If what you are doing now isn’t lining up with your life goal, it’s time to change directions and set your sights on the right path. Having the important things with you during this change will help smoothen the lane switch. If you are already taking the direction you want and haven’t lined up the important things with it, you should do that now. No reason to having the important things to us not with or around us.
4. If I die today, will I regret what I’ve done with my life?
Your answer here will define whether or not you are truly on the right path for your life goal. If you really asked the question of what’s this life for, and have answered yes, here, you may not even have to move on to the next step. Just make sure the important things in your life are with you and shit, you would already be answering the question of, what’s this life for? No need to do more, just keep doing what you’re doing!
5. Is the life I’m living the life I want to live?
If you aren’t living the life you wanted to live and haven’t made a choice as to which road to take, just stop what you are doing and begin doing something different. It’s obvious the direction you are moving is not the one you want and there is no reason to carry on with it. Change direction, now! Don’t wait because you may be waiting for the rest of your life, then you’ll regret not making the change.
If you’ve answered the above questions honestly, then, with time, you’ll be the person you want to be. You have a life worth living and it is up to you to make it the one you want. The important things in your life must play a worthy spot or you’ll regret not having them do so. Sometimes we find ourselves on the paths we don’t want to be on, but we can change our life’s paths anytime we like. That’s the freedom of being human, we have choices. We control our own lives, that’s the beauty of it. Ask yourself today and be honest, if I were to die now, would I regret my life? If so, make the change today and start living a life you won’t regret, make it the one you want to live. What’s your life for?
